In order to make your site even faster, we're changing data centers. To ensure that your move is seamless and without interruption, please make the following DNS changes for the domain name that your affiliate program is hosted on.

*You can put your store under your domain, or a sub-domain by creating a CNAME for that domain. Most Domain Providers (the site where you bought your domain) have similar methods of creating a CNAME, although their interfaces may look different. Additionally, your Domain Provider should have FAQs and/or email support to assist you in creating a CNAME as well. Here are the generic directions for creating a CNAME.

We have also provided directions for GoDaddy.com, as well as a Google link for other domain providers in the Affiliate FAQs (see link below).

Please make the following DNS change for the domain name that your affiliate program is hosted on:

1) Remove the A record pointing to our current IP Address. (This is if you have previously set up an A Record for your site.)

2) Create a CNAME record pointing to "myfreewebsite.com.". Please be sure to include the final "." as seen in the quotes. Some domain providers will NOT allow you to add the "." after the web domain, like HostGator.com as they add it already for you by default. In that case just add "myfreewebsite.com" without the "." on the end.

NOTE: Some DNS services do not support this configuration for root level domains (yoursite.com vs www.yoursite.com). So, if you find you are unable to make a CNAME change for "yoursite.com" you can leave the A record set up pointing to our IP address for yoursite.com and change the CNAME for www.mysite.com.

*If you are unable to change the CNAME for your domain at all, do not worry. Your service will continue to work as expected and additional instructions with the new IP Address to use in an A record will be sent after the datacenter move is complete.

3) Log into your Affiliate Control Panel, go to Customizations >> Site Settings >> Your Domain Name and Add your domain in there without the http:// before it. (Only www.mysite.com or mysite.com).

If you have any problems or questions with this change, please let us know.

What happens then is site is forced to go wider, but also the right navigation button goes floating off out of the main part of the site and ends up in the right hand empty border, outside the main div.

When I tried to make the slider 3 products wide, it now fits but the "next" navigation button is still floating out there in Neverland. Any idea whats going on and how I could fix it? I have been customizing my site, and I have a few tweaks I need help with.

1) I used the code mentioned in a previous post to hide some of my categories, as I am running a lingerie store. I am not sure if I missed something somewhere, but the sub category itself is gone, but the number of items in that category is still there. (example: http://www.sextoyfun.com/Sexy-Wear?a...der=rank%20ASC Look under dresses on the left side)

2) I would like to use my custom top navigation on my pages only, and would like to have it hidden on my homepage, as it is highly customized, and looks silly there. I would like to do the same with the banner. Is there a code snippet I can use to hide those two items from my custom homepage?

3) Since my store is only selling lingerie, I do not want any toys to show. I would like this to not be considered an adult site so I can advertise in more places, and so on. The problem I am having is when someone is looking at an item, it shows what people who have purchased that item have also purchased. Unfortunately when people buy teddies, they also buy dildos, so those end up showing up on my page. Is there a code to let me hide that box?

4) I used a code that was posted showing how to add a 'add to cart' button. When I use this code, my add to cart just shows up white with no writing, on the product page, and doesn't change the other ones at all. Not sure if i did something wrong, or if the code has been changed since the tweak was posted, since it was 2 years ago.


I think those are the only issues I am having right now, and I can't wait to get them fixed so I can go live with my site. I am really excited about the work I have put into it.

I realize that there isn't that much activity around here, but I will be checking back for replies.
