Default Sub Directory

How can I install wordpress hosting onto a sub directory of my website which is hosted by you guys. I basically want my website www.example.com to be hosted by you guys and for www.example.com/blog to be wordpress hosted so I can start a blog with my retail store. Thanks

Might be easier to have your blog address as http://blog.example.com

I actually found out how to do it now. but that wouldn't give me as much SEO benefits to my main website. Thanks for the input though.

I've been struggling with this problem, but haven't come up with a viable solution. The main problem is that if you do as they suggest and change the A Record for your domain http://www.yourdomain.com to point to your affiliate sextoyfun, you no-longer have control over your sub-domain. If you have a hosting co such as readyhosting, bluehost etc, and have wordpress installed there as a sub-domain like http://blog.yourdomain.com, you have to set your a record to that host. You can't have it both ways!

Only way I found to do it was to use my none affiliate sex toy site to host the blogs for all my adult stores.

Would be nice if their was a better way to do it though. Or perhaps if CNV integrated blogs into their affiliate store software. My non-sex toy sites do this using opencart.

I set up a site with the Store as the Main domain and the Blog as a Subdomain because I want to see how the traffic compares to my other store set up on a sub domain.

You can see it at:
http://myvibratorfun.com then, on the menu bar there is a link to "Our Blog" which is set up on WordPress on a sub domain at:
http://blog.myvibratorfun.com (it's a work in progress so there's not much on the blog right now) but, I think this is what you may be talking about.

So, try this:
1) BEFORE you change your A record, go to your cpanel and setup a subdomain called blog or whatever so it will look like: blog.yourwebsite.com
or - if you've already changed your A record, RESET it then go to your cpanel and follow the above.

2) Install WordPress on your blog subdomain.

3) Now you can go ahead to your cpanel and change the A record on your main site only (eg. yourwebsite.com) to your STF store. Leave blog.yourwebsite.com alone.

4) You should now be able to log into your site by going to blog.yourwebsite.com/cpanel or blog.yourwebsite.com with your FTP software.

... let me know if this works for you!
