Default Dropped carts?

Hi all, I have a question on the back end of sales.

I did a big drive on traffic over the thanksgiving holiday weekend with good ad responses in my metrics, but I haven't noticed the same in my actual sales.

When going through my Google analytics reports I did noticed that every single cart drops off. I'm not sure what the cause is of this.

Can someone tell me if this is because the actual cart checkout goes through the CNV cart and doesn't get tracked through my google analytics or is this something else? I know people sometimes abandon carts, but every single one seems a bit much.

Also, when do we get the notification on the order processing? Does this happen when the sale is made or when the order is actually shipped?

Do you have Ecommerce added to your Google Analytics?
If this is a support issue you can email us at support and we may be able to look into this issue further.

Thumbs up

Hi Dominadoll, thanks for getting back to me.

No, I don't have ecommerce set up for google analytics because I would need to edit the tracking code on the shop. The tracking and analytics setting in the adultshopping portal only allows us to put in the tracking ID, not several lines unfortunately.

I'll take your advice that it might be best if I raise this as a support ticket. I'll try and get my head round what I need exactly and then raise it.

No you don't need to edit the tracking code in the shop. You just need to turn it on in Google Analytics-

Right, that wasn't switched on for some reason. I have switched this on now.

Gosh, I've noticed so many more features in google analytics I hadn't paid attention to before.

Thanks DominaDoll, its probably a small thing but its been helpful.

I'm planning to invest a lot more time and effort in the site to make it more successful in the coming year.

Yes. GA doesn't switch it on automatically. You need to turn it on for every property you own yourself if it has ecommerce.

It is probably the most important part of GA that you need to know. Without that, you can't find out how you are getting sales

Good luck with your site!

This morning, got another sale and lo and behold ... its all there in my analytics! What they bought, how much they spent, the shipping cost and product cost. Everything I wanted to know!

I have been banging my head against the wall about this and the little change of switching ecommerce on in analytics was all it took.

Thank you!!!!!
