Default CSV issues

kind of new at this, but i'm having a problem with the data feed CSV. when i open the csv file the descriptions look like this:

It'll be summer all year round with the 2013 Playboy No Swimsuit Required Calendar. See the Playmates in their most provocative poses in barely there bikinis, with no full nudity.

how do i keep the punctuation from causing those errors?

Hello Pleasuremepalace,

Those are not errors, they are html codes, they are required to make an XML file without any format errors. Since they are standard html codes we use them for the CSV format too. See what the codes mean at:

http://ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm

Most shopping carts will show the html code correctly, some however do not. For those that don't you'll need to change the codes either before you upload it to the shopping cart database or after through phpMyAdmin.

Example phpMyAdmin SQL:

Code:
UPDATE Table_Name SET `Column_Name` = replace( `Column_Name`, '&amp#44;', ',' );

That Update would take care of every description that matched the replacement query.
