Default How to Use RSS Feeds with the new AS stores

MFW users can still use the feeds for their AS stores.
Here are the directions:

RSS Feeds currently only exist on the old platform. So AS customers who are wanting to use the old RSS feeds should log into MyFreeWebsite and go to the RSS feeds page: https://admin.sextoyfun.com/affiliates/aff_rssfeeds.php
For this to work, they must have completed their store setup, meaning they must be completely migrated to AS.
These customers will notice that the domain for the feeds will be now go to http://www.cnv.com instead of their site domain name.
Newest Products: http://www.cnv.com/rss.php?a=affiliate_code&t=0
Most Recently Updated: http://www.cnv.com/rss.php?a=affiliate_code&t=1
Bestselling Products: http://www.cnv.com/rss.php?a=affiliate_code&t=2

In fact, you can tell existing RSS feed users who are on AS to simply update their old RSS fee URLs to point to www.cnv.com. As long as their affiliate code is still in the URL, it should still work for them.
Existing MFW customers can still use the feeds. They will not notice any changes.

Thanks!
Domina

Just curious, are there any plans to introduce a new RSS generator for the AS platform?

Cheers!

Yes, there is a plan to do this at some point. But I don't know when as we have many other projects to do first... So it may be a while.

But you can still access the feeds for the new AS stores on the old MFW platform and generate feeds in there as well.

TY!

Yeah, I'm working on the cnv.com version for AS right now.

I agree, it's not a big priority. Just thought I'd ask.

Thanks!

Finally had a chance to test this and unfortunately, it doesn't work.

If you go to http://www.cnv.com/rss.php?a=simplypleasurelabe&t=0 for example, it generates the page BUT none of the links work. If you look at the top, "Products available on http://" so it doesn't populate my store url. If you click on a product link, it goes to a search page as it is not a proper link.

Several affiliates are having issues with the new sitemaps tool.
I have the tech team looking into this.

LABE-

the affiliate code is simplypleasureslabe not simplypleasurelabe.
This is working-
http://www.cnv.com/rss.php?a=simplypleasureslabe&t=0
& This one also works : http://www.simplypleasuresextoys.com/sitemap.xml
Also, why are you showing feeds in the sitemap discussion?
Confused

The thread title is " How to Use RSS Feeds with the new AS stores" so not sure why it's a sitemap discussion?

I'll double check the store url then. thanks.

Ooops! Sorry thought it was sitemaps... Duh. My head has been in sitemaps this week.

Well, hope your feed works then!

Well it works, though since the team are working on new feeds for the new sites, can you request they link to a higher res image of the products. Using the feeds to push new products to tumblr and the images look horrible as the images are less than 100 x 100 px. Would like to see the images at least 300 or 400 px for better clarity. They are using the thumbnail images and I'd rather see them use the full size version.

The images repeated on my first attempt but that was an issue with my script.

You can view at simplypleasuresextoys.tumblr.com (and for those who want to know, I am using a recipe at ifttt.com to push them to tumblr).
