Default Product Selection Help Please

Hey Everyone,

We're just getting started, and had a basic question. Sorry if it's already addressed, couldn't find it...

Anyway, under the main categories on the feed there are literally thousands of products. For example, there are a few thousand vibrators. Does it make sense to feature all of them, or is there a way to choose the let's say 100 best sellers? What's the best easiest way to go about that, so we don't end up with endless choices?

Thanks,

David

Thatís a good question and depends on your marketing and sales plan.

You could go a few ways I guess.

I agree that having to many choices can be overwhelming for your customers but you donít want to miss something if there looking for a certain vibrator.

You could load the data feed and then go into your cart and pick the vibrators that you donít want displayed.

You could load all of them but then have a special category that shows the top products and list the top vibrators, dildos and so on.

Thank you very much for the reply. Is there a place that shows which ones are the most popular, or is just something we have to figure out on our own? I know what might sell well on one site might not sell well on others.

Hello ToyGuy,

If you are authorized to see it the prods-bestseller and dvd-bestseller feed for all vendors is available on the Data Feeds page. If you're not authorized to download these feeds, you'll need to wait until they are made available to new customers.

Hi Mike,

I imagine I would be authorized to see it. I have an account set up and everything. I'll take a look.

Thanks,

David

You can also view the best sellers by going to each category and sorting by best sellers.
