Default Hows the changes going to the catagorys?

Hey Mike,

How are the changes going for the new catagorys?

Are the datafeeds all complete now?

Im wondering also because when adding the datafeed I have a catagory that says N/A and all the products listed have no catagory. Theres about 520 now.

Thanks,
Ken

Hi Ken,

As far as I know they're still working on it. I've contacted our VP to ask about an update / estimated time of completion.

Oh Hey Mike,

What about my N/A catagory? Is that normal?

I checked on some of the products listed in my N/A catagory and on the sextoy.com site there all in the right catagory.

Why would some of the product come in with N/A?

Hi Ken,

The feeds are setup for a 3 level structure, and with the changes there are now a few 4 level categories. These products are showing N/A, because the scripts that create the feeds can not identify those products in the 4th level.

Hi Denis,

How about newcats.csv and newcats.xml. Is that what you're wanting?

Mike when you say the scripts that create the feeds can not identify those products do you me the datafeeds you guys are putting out now?

Or do you mean that the datafeeds you have now have 4 levels and the script we are using to upload to our shopping cart need to account for the 4th level now?

Im using depotnet and they manage our datafeed and I need to know how to tell them to fix it.

Thanks,
Ken

Hi Ken,

The scripts that create the datafeeds puts in N/A, because they don't understand the 4th level.

Yes, except the newcats.csv does not appear to be current.

Hi Denis,

It's current, but just like all feeds it's built for 3 levels and not 4 levels. Until they fix the category structure it will have mistakes only in those areas that now have 4 levels. These 4th level categories will eventually be removed and the products put into a 3rd level category:

Extras :: Health & Beauty :: Massagers :: Attachments & Accessories
Extras :: Health & Beauty :: Massagers :: Magic Wands & Body Massagers
Extras :: Health & Beauty :: Massagers :: Palm Size Massagers
Extras :: Health & Beauty :: Massagers :: Pocket Rocket Massagers
